This picture was taken on the day of the attack on Pearl Harbor. In the pictures, a small boat is rescuing a seaman from the 31,800 ton USS West Virginia, which is burning in the foreground. The attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese killed over 2,000 Americans, this led America to join other Allied forces in the fight against Japan and Germany.

The picture above is of young men being buried alive at the Rape of Nanking. Often times the Japanese found pleasure in forcing Chinese men to dig graves and then get buried alive in them. It was also a common occurence for Chinese men to dig somebody elses grave and bury one another alive. The Japanese enjoyed inflicting excessive amounts of pain and suffering upon the Chinese. This further proved how power hungry the Japanese were and that they believed nobody could stop them.

The picture shows a Japanese soldier about to behead an innocent child at the Rape of Nanking.
No mercy was shown to the young boy, due to the fact that the Japanese believed young men might have been soldiers. The Japanese Army had no problem resoting to barbaric, heartless measure as long as it meant Japan could gain more political power. If the Japanese had no problem killing innocent bystanders and young children, then they would have no problem killing anybody. They were bold enough to kill over 300,000 people in one city alone, whose to say they would ever stop mass killings? Somebody needed to stop them.

The picture was taken on July 4, 1942  at a Japanese prison camp of Casisange in the Philippines. These American Prisoner's of War were celebrating their independence day, even though it was against Japanese regulations. It has been said that 400 prisoner's of war would die everyday while at a Japanese prison camp. Overall, an estimated 40 percent of the United States prisoners of war died while in Japanese captivity, compared to 1.2 percent in German custody.

This picture was taken at the USS Arizona Memorial. On the wall are the names of all the Americans who gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives. The list of names are of people who died at the attack on Pearl Harbor, in which the Japanese bombed the base and killed over 2,000 people.

Above is the newspaper that was published in Pennsylvania the day after the Japanese surrendered. This was six days after the dropping of both of the A-bombs, which proved that the dropping of the end all be all atomic bomb was necessary to get Japan to surrender.

VIDEOS:

The link above is a video that describes the horrific things that the Japanese did to the Chinese during the Rape of Nanking and other Japanese atrocities. It informs people how the Japanese enjoyed watching the Chinese civilians suffer. Worst of all, the Japanese have not apologized for most of the massacres and many even deny that the massacres ever existed.

This video depicts a reenactments of the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor which is mixed with chilling details, such as the sounds of trapped men inside the sunken Arizona that were being heard a week later. Also in the video is the dropping of the atomic bombs.

This clip depicts images of war-ravaged cities in Japan, the destruction caused by the atomic bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the submission of Japanese to American troops.

In order to avoid a full ground invasion of Japan and massive loss of U.S. lives, President Truman ordered the dropping of two atomic bombs, killing over 200,000 Japanese people and securing an unconditional surrender.
Truman ordered that an atomic bomb be dropped on Hiroshima. The plane Enola Gay dropped the bomb. Afterward, the Japanese surrendered.
